Oh the skin we're in, where to begin?

"I've got a million and one problems , and I don't need my skin to be one!"

*Lé sigh the complexities of the human skin and the many layers to go with it. If you happen to be on the female side of this one, forget it

..the factors are endless. From hormones, genetics , and even diet...there are so many things that can either make or break our skins. But lets just talk about most importantly the money maker, the first impression-er, the F A C E.

I am by no means a dermatologist, however I have about a quarter of a century's worth of experience from my own personal hypothesis of skin. As our bodies evolve so does our skin, aka the face. The things we contribute to it such as sleep, hydration, sugar, moisturizing, etc. can either help or create warning signals in the form of a Rash or a huge juicy pimple.

I myself generally have always had mild breakouts. Although my exterior may seem pretty clear, I have combination oily skin. This pretty much means My skin thinks its dry and over produces oil in certain regions of my face, but really its not dry thus just leaving me with unnecessary extra oil that I done need. *shrugs . Lately I have undergone a lot of stress and lack of sleep. I

also think I have developed a rash of small bumps all along my jawline and forehead due to the change of detergent. Still not 100% sure , but my usual regiment just is not cutting it. I had to stop using my daily cleanser & toner due to irritation...I was back to the

beginning with finding something to help calm and clean my skin.

I recently stepped into my favorite store LUSH, (a handmade natural products store) to find a calming mask. I honestly thought it would be a waste of time since my face doesn't usually respond well to new products. HOWEVER, I was pleasantly surprised. One of the lovely employees listened to me rant about my skins symptoms and referred me to a face mask called "Love Lettuce".

Love Lettuce is a blend of calming, balancing lavender oil with seaweed and honey to nourish and soften skin, and to mattify oily T-zones without leaving you dry ( Yass) . It is also an exfoliant. Once I washed it off , I noticed right away less irritated my skin was and the size of the bump reduced. I definitely will be adding this to my staple collection for my face routine.

Hope this helps!

I'd love to hear what products you have discovered and how they saved you from a facial disaster!

until next time,

Stay healthy & hungry..and stress free!
